The Book of All Loves (By Agustín Fernández Mallo)

Not too far into this one yet, but its for sure my kind of book. It's prose will really have you reflecting on life, love, the systems we have in place, and more !! BUUUT it is alot to process imo it's better in bits and pieces so you can properly digest it but its suuuper good.

They parse, with precision, with familiarity, the endless aspects of their love. After reading "Heaven" I knew immediately that I had to look into her other works. I actually already started this book before! But I had to put it aside because I was busy with school at the time of me reading it, I'll update this when I finish the book so that I can add more of my thoughts hehe.

Working and living alone in a city where it is not easy to form new relationships, she has little regular contact with anyone other than her editor, Hijiri, a woman of the same age but with a very different disposition. First Love (By Ivan Turganev)

I feel that this book perfectly encapsulates the bitter-sweet feeling that comes with reminiscing a first love. It feels as if you're right there in the moment with the main character as he traverses his infatuation, you can sense his naivety in his clunky movements. This book is a great example of nostalgia to me, craving for a time that has long since passed as you recollect moments with someone you once held close to your heart.. Now thats PEAK!!!!!! They do say that your first love sticks with you for the rest of your life, I think I resonate with that sentiment alot.

Earthlings (By Sayaka Murata)

Such an interesting read.... Sayaka Murata's brain is so interesting I want to know what goes through her head for her to be able to write such.. Bewildering (In the best way possible) books. But I always like her commentary on contemporary issues because she always approaches them in such a unique way. It's hard for her style to be found in anywhere else. That being said, I think this book is a wild ride, I love it with all my heart, but it is for sure only for a niche audience, as it can be beyond off putting for some.
